Our 3-Day Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda for an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience and a cultural visit to the Batwa community. Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. During this guided safari, you’ll trek through the forest to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat and learn about the Batwa, the forest’s original inhabitants, through an enriching cultural experience.

Day 1 – Journey to the rainforest
Meet your Servaline guide in Entebbe or Kampala and begin the journey towards Bwindi. Travel through rolling hills, rural settlements, and agricultural landscapes, with planned stops for refreshments and lunch. Arrive at your lodge near the forest, settle in and receive a briefing about the next day’s trek.

Day 2 – Mountain gorilla trekking

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for registration, a ranger briefing, and allocation to a habituated gorilla family. Head into the forest with your ranger guide, following trails that may cross steep slopes and muddy ground. Trek duration varies according to the gorillas’ location and forest conditions.

When you find the gorillas, observe them quietly as they feed, rest, and interact in their natural habitat, following the ranger’s instructions and current park rules. Return to the lodge to relax after this remarkable encounter.

Day 3 – Farewell to the Forest

Enjoy breakfast before beginning your return journey to Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your departure point and timing, stops can be arranged for photographs, local crafts, or a meal along the way. Airport drop-off should be planned around your international flight time.
